Der erste Schnee,
gefallen über Nacht .

an der weißen Pracht.
Und einen Schneemann
bauten sie im Garten,
mit Möhrennase,Knöpfen
und auch Hut.
Den Besen fest im Arm
muss stumm er warten,
kann kehren nicht,
es kleidet ihn nur gut.
Und in der Nacht, als sacht
der Mond am Himmel scheint,
sieht Finchen, aufgewacht,
dass dieser Schneemann weint.
Er weint, weil er muss einsam sein,
fühlt sich in dieser Welt allein.
Die Großen herzhaft lachen,
als sie’s erzählt am Morgen .
Doch Finchen schwört ,
sie mache sich da Sorgen ,
sie habe all die Sachen
genau gesehen und gehört.
Bald auch den andern Kleinen,
von der Idee betört ,
will alles wirklich scheinen.
Und weil es sich gehört ,
helfen sie Finchen schlau,
und bauen für den Schneemann
nun schnell noch Kind und Frau.
