Ende Februar in Wiesbaden
Der Himmel schwelgt in tiefem Blau.
Es greift der Sonne Strahlen
in Bäume, Büsche, Feld und Au,
verströmt sich mild;der Mauern Grau
mag golden sie bemalen.
Mich lockt die frische Luft hinaus,
lass mich vom Licht beleben.
Zwar glänzt noch Raureif vor dem Haus
wo zart Schneeglöckchen treiben aus,
hier als Geschenk gegeben.
Geh gern spazieren, froh gelaunt,
hör schon die Amsel singen,
den Bach, der munter sprudelnd raunt,
seh Krokus-Grüppchen, hell erstaunt,
ihr Farbenspiel erbringen.
Ich fühle, wie sich vieles regt,
im Frühling zu erglühen.
Nordostwind noch durch Wipfel fegt,
die bald hier Zephir zärtlich hegt,
sie lässt ergrünen, blühen.
